My name is Caryn, and I'm a twenty-year-old writer who dapples in many age groups and genres. I write a lot of teen fiction, some picture books, and I am working on a graphic novel. No matter what I'm writing, I have these goals for every story:

1) It has to be clean. To me, that means no cussing, no sexually explicit moods, and, overall, nothing I wouldn't want my (future) kids to read. If you are shocked by anything in my books, you must have picked up the wrong Caryn Pinkston.

2) It has to make you feel. I don't give out bland tales that leave you guessing what the characters are thinking. I don't want you to just read my stories; I want you to live them. I want you to laugh, cry, and feel like you've been on a journey by the end of the book, and if someone tells me one of my stories is boring, I just might hit my head on the nearest wall.

3) It has to teach you something, without you ever feeling like you're being preached at. For me, this is the most important thing my books can do for the reader -- to help make you stronger, give you courage, and to show you what you believe in and what you'd fight for -- all without having to leave your room. Not all of us have time to learn all of life's lessons the hard way, and that is one of the most important reasons why we read.

If you're looking for an author who does all of these things, I'm your writer, and I'm excited to share all my stories with you! Just keep in mind, most writers are a little odd, and I'm apt to surprise you at any time. :)

I love to hear from my readers. If you want to connect with me, comment, see the "Contact" page, or click on any of the social media icons to your left, and I'll reply as soon as I can. I'd love your feedback, and all Amazon reviews are helpful! Thank you!
